Frequently Asked Questions

Are scented candles safe?

Yes, our candles are all natural made with Phthalate & Paraben Free Fragrance oils.

How long should I burn a candle?

As a general rule, you should burn a candle fora maximum of four hours at a time; for the first burn, aim to burn it long enough to create a full melt pool across the wax surface, which usually means burning it for about one hour per inch of the candle's diameter. Always follow our candle care instructions.

Should you trim candle wicks before lighting?

Yes, you should trim candle wicks before lighting them. Trimming the wick to about ¼ inch before lighting ensures the flame is the correct size and the candle burns safely.Long wicks can cause uneven burning, dripping, flaring, and sooting.

Trimming the wick helps prolong the life of your candle. Candles can burn up to 25% longer if you trim the wick every couple of hours.

What wax do you use?

We use a custom blend of soy wax and coconut wax - natural, sustainable, vegan and non-toxic. The coconut wax is neutral in scent, as is the soy wax. You can expect an even and long-lasting burn from our candles

Can your containers be reused?

Yes! Once there is about 1/4 inch of wax left, stop using the candle. Use caution and care when removing the remaining wax, wicks and any labeling. Our suggestion is to gently scrape out the wax and wicks/wick stickers with a rigid silicone utensil (we don’t recommend knives or other metal items) and discard all wax in the trash - never put wax down the drain or garbage disposal. Then place the container in hot soapy water to soften any residue and labels, and wash, rinse and dry. We do not recommend scraping labels off as this might damage the surface of the container. Containers may be put in dishwasher once all wax and label residue is gone. Note: we assume no liability for candle containers or subsequent results of reuse by the consumer, once purchased.
